![Kopi Luwak or Civet Coffee has to be one of the strangest delicacies that I have ever heard of. It’s some Indiana Jones type shit. I will give you the Wiki definition because it’s more tasteful and scientific then I would be able to say it
Kopi Luak (pronounced [ˈkopi ˈloo - uck]) or Civet coffee is coffee made from coffee berries which have been eaten by and passed through the digestive tract of the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) and other related civets. The civets eat the berries, but the beans inside pass through their system undigested.
So this ugly looking thing eats coffee, craps it out, Indonesian people pick the beans out of the droppings and then brew them. The craziest part is that the beans go for anywhere from $100-$600 a pound! It’s known as the most expensive coffee there is. Wiki says there are cafes that serve it for $50 a cup.
